5 Exercise Myths

  1. Exercising makes you tired – Not true. People who have exercised actually feel like they have more energy and less stress!
  2. Exercising is time-consuming – Not true. A typical exercise routine only takes 30-60 minutes out of your day, three times a week.
  3. You get the same benefits from all different types of exercise – Not true. Some exercise routines strengthen your cardiovascular system (heart and lungs), and help you lose weight, while others make you more flexible and increase your muscle strength.
  4. You need less exercise as you age – Not true. Generally we tend to be less active the older we get, exercise routines should be custom made to your level of fitness.
  5. Only athletic people can exercise – Not true. There is a variety of exercise programs that do not require any sort of athletic ability, like walking, and using a stationary bike.
