Work out the tension and build shoulder muscle with this exercise ball routine.

Most ladies don’t care to make their upper and side shoulders bulge with muscle like Daniel Craig’s do in Casino Royale. But you can control how muscular your shoulders become with this exercise ball routine.

Shoulder workouts do more than just build muscle! Your shoulders build up a lot of tension when you cradle a phone or do a lot of computer work in one sitting.

These shoulder exercises will help you work that tension right out of your body and leave you with toned shoulders.

Some of these exercises are more for stretching and relaxation purposes while others work your upper body for all it’s worth. Switch up the order to make the routine your own.

 


Pass Ball Back and Forth

Step 1

Pass Ball Back and Forth  - Step 1

Begin on your back with your legs pointed toward the ceiling and a ball between your feet.

 

 

 

Step 2

Pass Ball Back and Forth  - Step 1

Simultaneously extend your arms behind your head and lower your feet to a 45 degree angle with the floor. Return to starting position and pass the ball from your legs to your hands.

Step 3

Pass Ball Back and Forth  - Step 1

Pass the ball back and forth between your hands and feet keeping your head and shoulders lifted off the mat.

Exercise Ball Prone  Cobra - Step 1

Begin by lying on your stomach on top of a exercise ball with your legs extended back and your arms out in front of you.

 

Step 2

Exercise Ball Prone  Cobra - Step 1

Hold a dumbbell in each hand and lift your upper torso as you raise your arms out to your sides as high as you can.

 

Step 3

Exercise Ball Prone  Cobra - Step 1

Lower your arms and chest and return to starting position. Repeat for the desired number of reps.

Sit on a exercise ball with your knees bent, your feet flat on the floor and a dumbbell in each hand.

Step 2

Exercise  Ball Shoulder Lateral Raise - Step 1

Extend your arms out from your body as you raise the dumbbells to shoulder height.

 

Step 3

Exercise  Ball Shoulder Lateral Raise - Step 1

Lower the dumbbells and repeat for the desired number of reps. Keep your abs engaged to maintain balance.
