Medicine Ball Cardio Drills!

Did you know that you can work your abs and glutes simultaneously while burning fat? You'll do just that with these medicine ball exercises!

You can get a lot more done during your workout time when you add a medicine ball to your squats and lunges. This adds some extra weight for your body to juggle while giving you a high energy cardio workout.

So are you ready to bust the fat right off of your glutes and stomach? Then grab a ball and get started!

High Knee Medicine Ball Press

Step 1

High Knee Medicine Ball Press - Cardio Exercise - Step 1

Stand with your feet together, abs tight and a medicine ball at chest level.

 

Step 2

High Knee Medicine Ball Press - Cardio Exercise - Step 2

Keeping your weight on your toes, begin running in place and gradually bring your knees higher and higher.

Step 3

High Knee Medicine Ball Press - Cardio Exercise - Step 3

As you perform high knees, lift the medicine ball over your head with arms fully extended and then lower it back to chest level.

 

Squat Lunge Twisters

Step 1

Squat Lunge Twisters - Cardio Exercise - Step 1

Stand with knees bent and arms extended forward. Pivot your right foot and hip inward to the left, bending down into a lunge, and move both hands over your left knee.

Step 2

Squat Lunge Twisters - Cardio Exercise - Step 2

Next, pivot back into the starting position and jump with feet together and arms raised overhead.

 

 

Step 3

As you land, sink into a squat and repeat the sequence. Perform the desired number of reps and switch sides.

Step 1

Squatted Ab Twisters - Cardio Exercise - Step 1

Stand with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart, knees bent and hands together at chest level.

Step 2

Squatted Ab Twisters - Cardio Exercise - Step 2

Without moving your lower body, slowly begin twisting side to size squeezing your abdominal muscles as you do so.

Step 3

Squatted Ab Twisters - Cardio Exercise - Step 3

With each twist lower your hips closer to the floor into a deeper squat. When you can't go any lower, begin twisting your way back up to your starting position.
