Ah, Monday. It’s the day that taunts us with promises of a new work week while making us feel more like a monster than a human being. You know the feeling: bleary, lifeless eyes, a greenish complexion, stiff arms and legs, wiry hair, and a nail protruding through our foreheads.
Okay, so we may not have a literal nail in our heads (just a caffeine headache, no big deal), but all the other symptoms seem pretty accurate, right? So, what’s the cure? A workout!
Today, we have some motivation that will take all those monstrous feelings and turn them into a killer exercise: the Frankenstein squat.
Check out Tony’s video:
So why is he doing this, again? Here’s what he had to say:
The torso is generally going to be more upright with a front squat (barbell over mid-foot). This is NOT to insinuate that a forward lean is bad (it’s not). The Frankenstein variation can be viewed as an awesome core exercise, in addition to hammer the lower body as well.
