Horizontal Abduction

Tone your upper body with this Pilates move.

  • Step 1

    Horizontal Abduction - Pilates Exercise - Step 1

    Kneel on the floor and extend your arms in front of you as you hold the ring between your palms.

  • Step 2

    Horizontal Abduction - Pilates Exercise - Step 2

    Use your palms and arm muscles to squeeze the sides of the ring together as far as you can.

  • Step 3

    Horizontal Abduction - Pilates Exercise - Step 3

    Hold this squeeze for a few seconds, release and repeat.
