Advanced Fitness Weight Training Products

While the Manta Ray and Sting Ray are the products that brought about Advanced Fitness and are what it is still best known for, you can purchase several other products from the company as well. All of the products fall into the same category of tools for making free weight lifting easier and more efficient. These products include:

  • Squat Racks
  • Weight Racks
  • Flat exercise benches
  • Incline and decline benches
  • Lifting belts
  • Lifting gloves
  • Advanced Fitness Supplements

Advanced Fitness sells several supplements created and manufactured by Beverly International, Inc., a well-known supplement company that has been in business for many years. An overview of each of these supplements is listed below.

  • Muscle Provider is a protein supplement that claims to increase strength and lean muscle mass. It comes in powder form and it is recommended that when training you eat three large meals and two smaller ones, which should be supplemented with Muscle Provider. It can be combined with another supplement, also by Beverly International, Mass Maker, for even greater results. Muscle Provider costs $27.00 per can. Independent reviews state good taste, easy mixing, and muscle building as pros and the fact that it is a bit pricey as its greatest con.
  • Ultra 40 Desiccated Liver Tablets contain 45 times the nutritional value of beef liver, yet only have small amounts of fat and cholesterol. These contain many essential amino acids and are a good source of iron, B vitamins, lipotropics, and vitamins A, C, and D.  Desiccated liver tablets are widely seen by weight trainers as a way to increase muscle mass through loading up on pure proteins. As with Muscle Provide, independent reviewers state the price as the main con to this product. The MSRP on Ultra 40 is $45.00 per bottle.
  • Ultra Size is a meal replacement powder that contains milk proteins, whey protein concentrate, egg whites, and hydrolyzed beef plasma. These ingredients contain essential growth nutrients which help with fat loss and muscle growth. While it also gets mostly positive reviews, it also costs $45.00 per can.

Advanced Fitness’ Own Supplement – DOMS-X

Advanced Fitness has also begun marketing its newest product, DOMS-X, a supplement it created and manufactures, to reduce the effects of DOMS or Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness after lifting.  DOMS is the pain felt in muscles and joints after strenuous exercise. It is the result of muscle fibers having been torn during exercise that are now in the process of repairing themselves. This tearing and repairing allows muscles to grow, but pain from DOMS can result in greater rest breaks between workouts for an athlete if the discomfort is too severe.

DOMS-X is considered an MSM, sulfur-based, supplement. It is considered all natural and non-toxic, consisting of ingredients found in fresh water. It is non-allergenic and does not interfere with any other supplements you may be taking. MSMs detoxify the blood and muscles and are used world-wide to treat arthritis, joint pain, and inflammation.

The only cons to this product are the side effects that may be seen in the first two weeks of use. These are symptoms caused by the detoxification process and include diarrhea, body rash, headache, and fatigue. They normally subside after two weeks at the longest and can be reduced by beginning with a lower dosage and working up to the recommended dosage. MSMs are considered safer than NSAID pain relievers such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. DOMS-X is relatively reasonably priced compared to other supplements. It retails for $18.95 per bottle.
