These bars are also available in the original version and low calorie versions called “Skinny Dipped” that average 130 calories each. The “Duo” is a combination option of high protein and low calorie favorites.
  • Tri-O-Plex Cookies are available in three versions based on the amount of sugar. There is the regular version, which averages 320 calories per package, the low calorie 2 version with 11grams of sugar and 150 calories, and the less than three version with less than 3 grams of sugar. They also come in the “Lite Bites” low fat and low calorie option available in an array of flavors including double chocolate chip, frosted oatmeal raisin, and strawberry white chocolate chip.
  • Tri-O-Plex Gourmet Brownies are made with approximately 18 grams of protein and 350 calories each. They also come in a variety of flavors such as luscious peanut butter, double chocolate decadence, caramel butterscotch torte, and white chocolate mousse.

The Tri-O-Plex product line includes all natural ingredient protein bars as well. The average price for a box of 12 is around $18 to $25. If you purchase the products online, you have to purchase a minimum of two boxes in most cases. This may be the case to make shipping orders worth the cost.

Chef Jay's Product Reviews

Many health conscious consumers seem to prefer Chef Jay’s oat bars to other protein bars. Some found them to be too crumbly, but tasty. Others thought the bars were too dry. One reviewer was a frequent buyer who was pleased with the oat bar until several months of shipments were dry and “old tasting” according to the reviewer.

Many customers love the cookies and gourmet brownies. One person who preferred cookies thought they would try the bars and was disappointed. One of the most appealing aspects of Chef Jay’s Tri-O-Plex choices are the flavors. The only big consumer problem arose with the contaminated peanut butter products, which had to be recalled because of the salmonella scare of 2009.
