Miami Ink’s most popular item is the Miami Ink Maximum Sunscreen Lotion in the 6 ounce size. This sunscreen has a sun protection formula (SPF) of 50. Within the formula is something called ColorBrite Technology. Miami Ink claims that this technology not only protects the color of your tattoos but actually can brighten and renew your tattoos. For body builders, the formula adds a non-greasy glossy shine that can emphasize muscle size and definition.

Another product sold my Miami Ink is the Miami Ink Tattoo Fade Shield in the 6 ounce bottle. It has a sun protection formula of 30. This formula includes octinoxate, octisalate, oxybenzone, and zinc oxide. This product is sweat proof and stays active for 80 minutes. Although designed specifically for tattoos, it can also be used on the entire body for sun protection.

The Ultra Sport Sunscreen Lotion available in 6 ounce with an SPF of 30 is another product from Miami Ink that comes with ColorBrite Technology. The sports version of the sunscreen is formulated to not run into your eyes and to last through sweat. In addition to brightening tattoos, the sport lotion also claims to even out your overall skin tone while brightening your skin.

Also offered by Miami Ink is the L.A. Ink Daily Moisturizing Lotion. This product claims to restore skin and brighten tattoos if used on a daily basis. The basis for this claim is the antioxidant present from Acai berry extract along with Aloe Vera. This moisturizer also claims to give you more elastic younger skin.

Miami Ink Reviews

The reviews of Miami Ink products are not very positive. The first complaint is that the name of the popular reality television about a tattoo establishment in Miami is begin used to sell products. But the bigger problem for supplement experts comes in the claims that Miami Ink makes. The ingredients in Miami Ink products are not any different then those found in regular, everyday sunscreen. The claims to brighten and enhance tattoos and to show muscle definition have not be proven scientifically.

In order to brighten tattoos, experts say that the sunscreen would have to have a formula that would be used specifically on the tattoo itself and not the rest of the body.  The fact that the product claims to enhance tattoos while being put on the entire body is a problem for those in the industry who have reviewed the product.

Reviews of the L.A. Ink Daily Moisturizing Lotion sold by Miami Ink are also negative . The claims to make the users look younger and to make skin more elastic have not been proven scientifically either. There is nothing in the list of ingredients that supports the claims of younger more elastic skin. Because of these reviews, many wholesalers and supplement websites no longer carry Miami Ink products.

Miami Ink Availability

Because Miami Ink does not have its own website where products can be ordered and returned or where questions about the product can be answered, it is hard to find Miami Ink products. Wholesale companies, some tattoos establishments, and some tattoo websites promote and sell the products, but if the customer has a problem or question about the product, there is not a way to contact the company directly.

The majority of the marketing of the products is based on the Miami Ink name itself. Fans of the show may look specifically for the product, but aggressive or even moderate marketing of Miami Ink products is not done by the company.
