MuscleMeds Science

The assertion that there is legitimate, undeniable science behind the birth of the MuscleMeds supplements is the company’s claim to fame. MuscleMeds does have more scientists employed solely for their company than any other supplement company.

As a bodybuilder seeking to pack on muscle or decrease workout recovery time, understanding the science may or may not be a priority. Some customers just want to see results, but others want to understand how and why MuscleMeds work the way that they do. Most bodybuilders are very picky about what they put into their bodies.

MuscleMeds and the Super Molecule

By far, the biggest scientific claim of MuscleMeds is the claim that their scientists discovered a nitrooxy-ethyl- amino- methybutanoate molecule. What this means in layman’s terms is that a super molecule has been used in the creation of these supplements.

This claim has not been evaluated by the FDA since supplements are not regulated by the same FDA standards as food and drugs.

To understand how the supplement works, you have to understand some things about the human body. Human bodies produce Nitric Oxide when working out or using the muscles.

The more Nitric Oxide in your system, the better pump received to the muscle. This super molecule created by MuscleMeds scientists is an artificially constructed Nitric Oxide molecule that makes the body think there is additional Nitric Oxide in the system. This tricks the body into producing a better workout.

MuscleMeds Carnivor

MuscleMeds newest product is called Carnivor and it is named this for a reason. MuscleMed scientist has extracted actual beef protein, combined it with amino acids and produced a liquid energy boosting shot.

Each 4 ounce shot of Carnivor boasts 50 grams of protein, 350% more anabolic amino acids than beef, and an enhancer that recycles the amino acids. It is like eating 30 steak dinners in one 4 ounce shot!

Though other forms of protein such as milk, eggs, and soy are available to consume in a more traditional way, nothing has the protein level that beef does, but it is very high in fat and cholesterol.

Instead of packing on extra fat and taking several days that are involved in digesting beef, you can take this pill.  Carnivor gives more protein than steaks without all the cholesterol.

MuscleMeds Reviews

The reviews of MuscleMeds are mixed. The customers like the results of the products offered overall.  There are three main complaints that come up on almost every supplement review website.

  • The first complaint is taste. This is mostly for the products used in tablet form. The tablets are placed under the tongue and dissolve. You cannot swallow until the pill is completely dissolved. Customers report an almost unbearable bitterness that comes with the dissolving of the pill.
  • The second most common complaint is the price. With tablets costing over one dollar per pill, it is an expensive supplement to take. Tablet dosage for those 200 pounds and under is one per day and those over 200 pounds should take 2 tablets per day. Tablets should be taken 5 days a week. This equates to about 20-40 pills a month. The cost can really add up. After 8 weeks of use, consumers should take a 4 week break from the supplement.
  • The third main complaint about MuscleMeds products is the intense thirst that comes with taking the product. Reviewers describe the thirst as something they have never experienced before and as something that is not easily quenched.

Drinking an entire bottle of water or more right before a workout is not always comfortable so this adds to the displeasing side effect of thirst. Dehydration can occur rapidly if enough water is not consumed with the product.
