The second phase of the Nature's Best evolution began in 1988 when the company announced plans for its Perfect product line. Nature's Best began developing new supplements based on what they consider to be the perfect protein found in egg whites.

This business plan included manufacturing new Nature's Best nutrition drinks, bars, powders, and tablets which would be marketed to the average consumer directly through retail operations.

The plan proved to be another huge hit as Nature's Best brought the concepts of healthy living and eating to the American consumer. General Nutrition Center, otherwise known in the retail sector as GNC, was one of the first retailers to carry Nature's Best products.

In 1993 the company did a survey of its customers which showed Nature's Best to be one of the top two most recognized sports nutrition names in the industry.

Nature's Best divides their product line into three categories: beverages, powders, and supplements.

In the beverages category Nature’s Best produces ten different products with a combined total of thirty flavor variations. Beverages run the gamut from carbohydrate supplements to protein to mineral water. Individual bottles are 15.5, 16, or 20 ounces and are sold in packages of 12 or 24 units.

In that the powders department Nature's Best makes 18 different products, also with a long list of variations in flavor and packaging size. The company produces low carb powders, whey protein, egg protein, milk protein,  glutamine, and others.

The different variations of Nature's Best powders serve different purposes, but most are aimed in some way, shape, or form at muscle building and post workout repair. The ingredients found in these powders have long been known to be effective for the purposes they are intended.

The Nature's Best supplement category is by far the largest in terms of individual products. They offer everything from St. John's Wort to joint health supplements to multivitamins.

As far as pricing is concerned, this is one area where Nature's Best has not necessarily remained true to its mission. While some of its general supplements remain very well priced, many of the products aimed at bodybuilders and athletes are on the more expensive end.

It's true that Nature's Best is certainly not the most expensive supplement maker in the industry, but they're also not the cheapest. There are several other companies whose similar products cost significantly less.

The company website is clean, fast loading, and extremely utilitarian, but it lacks in depth information about Nature's Best products and ingredients. Even though most of this information could be discovered on product packaging or through online reviews, it would be helpful if Nature's Best would include it on their site.

Beyond pricing and the company website, Nature's of Best is definitely one of the most professional players in nutritional supplement business. They have more than 25 years of experience and an excellent reputation that is hard to argue with.
