Probar History
Probar was started in Utah by Art Eggertson. In the 1990s, Art was working, playing, and living at the Snowbird Ski Resort. He loved to snowboard and was a natural food chef.
-
Art Eggertson was always advocating good nutrition and health to everyone around him. His development of Probar began one day when he was snowboarding.
-
Art Eggertson was starving and couldn’t find anything nutritious or good tasting to eat. This led to his experimenting in the kitchen and working on making a nutritious bar that was also tasty.
-
Art Eggertson used friends and clients as guinea pigs, who all loved what he came up with. This led to interest from a local entrepreneur and Probar began.
Beginning in a local test kitchen, Probar grew to a huge distribution area and is sold in many retail, health food stores, and medical offices around the country. The sales have grown astronomically and continue to grow.
Integrity and natural ingredients are the key to the company’s success. Probar continues to be committed to natural, high performance, and convenient nutrition. The original recipes have stayed the same.
Probar Products
The Probar Company began with the original Probar and has branched out from there with additional food products. The company continues to expand its product line to offer even more on the go whole food options.
Art’s original collection, the first Probar, is a meal replacement made with whole food. The Probar is made from 15 different whole foods which include chunky nuts, grains, and fruit.

Probar is 100% vegan and certified organic. 70% of the ingredients are raw and there are 8 to 12 grams of protein, which is plant based. Probar is also a great source of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.

The Probar is made with no preservatives. The natural ingredients such as seeds, nuts, dried fruits, grain sweeteners, and rolled grains have a long shelf life so no chemicals are needed.
