Razorba and Three Models to Choose From

Strangely, the Razorba back shaver comes in three different models which appear to the naked eye to be virtually identical except for color. In fairness, this review will explore the differences as listed on the official company website rather than merely trust a visual presentation.

  • The first is the entry level model is known as the Razorba Classic. The Razorba Classic has a small head size, vinyl grip, and a shallow shell. It is said to work with two types of Gillette razors and most disposables.
  • The next step up is the Razorba Silencer. With this model you get a slightly larger head size and shell which ostensibly allows users to shave using a Gillette M3Power electric razor. It also features Hamr Grip and Super Shock Solid Core technologies, whatever those are, and can be used with most disposables.
  • Finally, the big one is the Razorba War Hammer. If nothing else we'll give the company credit for some creative names. Regardless, the War Hammer is supposedly an improvement over the Silencer because of its even larger head size and its Hamr Grip II technology.

According to the official product literature, the Razorba War Hammer is compatible with several different Gillette electric razors as well as most disposables.

Razorba Shopping and Prices

The Razorba website goes out of its way to remind potential customers that their products are not available in stores. Reading their statement brings to mind the typical late night television ad encouraging viewers to send their hard earned money to the company in exchange for a useless trinket.

That's not to say that Razorba is that type of item, but rather their website marketing conjures up those types of images. At this time it appears as though you can only buy Razorba directly from the company.

As for their pricing, it seems extremely high for a piece of molded plastic. Regardless of the Hamr Grip technology that helps you firmly hold your back shaver, it still is molded plastic that can be produced for pennies.

Yet the company charges an amazing $29.95 for the Classic model. For the Silencer and War Hammer, the prices are $49.95 and $69.95 respectively. Not that it helps, but the company does offer discounted pricing if you buy three Razorbas.

Fortunately, the rest of their product list is more reasonably priced. Their T-shirts run $12.95 while a three-pack of a shaving cream applicators is $14.95.

The Razorba website provides a secure shopping cart which accepts PayPal, Google Checkout, and major credit cards like Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. If you prefer to order over the phone, the company website includes a toll-free number which customers can call between normal business hours, Monday through Friday.

Razorba Final Thoughts

With all due respect, it's hard to watch promotional videos for this product without laughing. That's not to say Razorba is ineffective or useless, but shaving your back is not something most of us ever consider.

To many people even the thought of doing so sounds ridiculous, if not disgusting. But the fact remains that there are plenty of men who find their back hair embarrassing. Many of them avoid going to the beach, public pool, or anyplace else they might have to remove their shirt.

If Swamiware LLC can successfully market a product that legitimately works, good for them.  If men with hairy backs can use the Razorba to solve their problem, good for them too.

The thing about products like Razorba, as compared to nutritional supplements, is that users can, without a doubt, determine whether or not the product really works. It either successfully helps you shave your back, or it doesn't.
