ThermoLife and Scientific ClaimsThe company claims to have a scientific testing structure in place that guarantees their ingredients and products are the most pure and potent. They even claim that when using a new ingredient where no quality standard exists, they work with industry leaders to develop a standard. The only difficulty with making such claims is proving that they are accurate. Any company can say they employ only the highest testing standards, but how do consumers know that they're telling the truth? Simply naming yourself a Truth Speaker means nothing. Not to be unnecessarily harsh toward ThermoLife, but they need to live up to the very bold and aggressive statements they make about their products. ThermoLife SupplementsTheir website lists eight ThermoLife products currently available - with a ninth on the way. Most of these ThermoLife products would be classified as anabolic bodybuilding supplements designed to help the athlete reduce fat, increase muscle mass, and realize more energy and strength. Supplements come generally in one of two forms: powders or capsules. The ThermoLife website provides a rather lengthy individual page for each product they sell. In fact, ThermoLife might just provide the most individual product information of any site we've seen. Included on these individual product pages is a detailed description of what each ThermoLife supplement does, how the individual ingredients accomplish their design tasks, a section of user testimonials, and even FAQs to answer specific product questions. Without actually counting, it would appear as though each ThermoLife product page has several thousand words of text attached to it. That's a lot of information that should help the average consumer make an informed decision. ThermoLife PricingIf you've ever purchased sports nutritional supplements before you know how expensive they can be. For those on a limited budget, ThermoLife is probably not going to be your best supplement choice. The ThermoLife pricing structure is very much on the high end when compared to their competitors. As an example, let's look at their PUMP-BOL pre-workout nitric oxide product. This supplement comes in powder form and is intended to be ingested 30 to 45 minutes prior to your workout. ThermoLife PUMP-BOLPUMP-BOL is designed to increase the amount of nitric oxide in the body system. It is a common belief in the bodybuilding community that increased nitric oxide levels allow more blood flow to the muscles, which helps them perform better and increases overall size. Whether or not that's true, one can of PUMP-BOL sells for nearly $83 on the company's website. The label suggests one to two servings before every workout, and there are 42 servings per container. If we do the math and assume two servings per workout, that gives you 21 days worth of powder. Based on the six days on/one day off model that many bodybuilders use, you would go through a single can in just over three weeks. $83 for three week's worth of supplement is extremely high when you compare it to some of ThermoLife's competitors. To be fair, ThermoLife claims that their nitric oxide powder is superior to their competitor,s thus justifying the price. ThermoLife MarketingIt's no secret that bodybuilding supplements are marketed heavily at young adult and teen males. With this in mind ThermoLife's website is the type of marketing tool you would expect for this target audience. The ThermoLife website features pictures of musclebound men in various poses and color combinations that suggest raw power, and lots of bold statements designed to stroke the egos of amateur bodybuilders. It is a brilliant marketing piece that does an excellent job reaching its prime target. ThermoLife TestimonialsAs part of their marketing plan the website also includes sections labeled Success Stories and Testimonials. Between these two sections there are no fewer than eight individual users who will testify to the success of ThermoLife supplements. All but two of the individuals include photographs so that you can see for yourself. There's nothing abnormal about these testimonials or success stories that would raise a red flag. In fact, they seem pretty typical for the industry. To compare ThermoLife products to similar ones that are currently available, use the supplement finder now! |
