Currently the TLF website is under construction so you will not be able to visit them to see exactly what type of fitness apparel they have for sale. What you can do, however, is search online for Train Like a Freak products and see what they offer through the various stores that sell their products.

You will find that if you do a search online for their products, they are available from private sellers on eBay as well as from stores such as Bodybuilding.com.

Unfortunately, however, there aren’t tons of products available from other sources. It appears that TLF likes to sell their new product lines themselves and allows other sources to only sell their old product lines.

If you are waiting for their website to become available, you may be waiting a while. For the past two months, their customers have been posting questions on facebook about when their site is going to be available again. The consistent response is that they don’t know when the site will be up; they are still dealing with issues.

TLF Products

The first thing that you might find relevant about the products sold by TLF is that the same company that makes Under Armour and Nike products manufactures their products as well.

This doesn’t mean that they use the same materials.  Any company can hire a manufacturer and require them to make their products by their own specifications.

According to TLF, they require the same quality production for their products as these big name companies do.

TLF and Lifestyle Apparel

Another thing that you will want to know is that most of the apparel sold by TLF is not designed for working out.  TLF markets their clothing as lifestyle apparel.

What this means is that you are wearing clothing that shows that you are athletic or a weightlifter.  TLF apparel is not meant to be worn during your workout.

TLF does recommend buying BSN apparel if you are looking for products in which to workout. BSN used to own TLF but they recently separated, which is one of the reasons why TLF is creating a new website.

TLF Product Options

As mentioned above, TLF products are in short supply. However, you can find a couple of options on Bodybuilding.com, all of which are on clearance.

In addition, there are a couple of places online that you will find TLF products.  They are mostly the same items no matter the site.

Here are some of the things that you will find currently available from TLF:

According to descriptions of these products, the logos and graphics on these shirts will not fade or crack with time. In addition, they are made from pre-shrunk cotton so you don’t have to worry about your shirt shrinking after you make your purchase.

All of the shirts sport the TLF logo on them in one way or another. In some cases, such as the Oval Skull Flourish Tee, the logo is clear as are the words Train Like a Freak.

However, in other designs, such as the Women’s Vapor Tee, the logo is less obvious and the focus is more on the graphics.

All of the shirts are available in limited sizes and quantities, so you need to be aware of that before you attempt to purchase one of these shirts. When the TLF site is back up, you should have access to a lot more options, sizes and apparel.

You will also find the cost of the apparel will vary widely based on where you purchase them. For example, shirts purchased on eBay are as low as $10 while the shirts on Bodybuilding.com are in the $20 to $30 range.

TLF and the 2011 Product Line

You can find some photos of the 2011 product line from TLF on facebook. However, what you won’t find are product details such as sizes, cost, materials used and so on.

TLF and the Trick to Getting a Good Buy

Although TLF recommends BSN on their Facebook page, if you visit the BSN website you will find that their focus is strictly on supplements.

If you are like many people who prefer to try on apparel before they purchase it, then you have plenty of local options available. Sports stores, for example, are an excellent way for you to purchase apparel for your workout.

The problem with buying apparel directly from a sporting goods store is that they are often expensive. An alternative to this is to try on these clothing items at brick and mortar stores.

Then go online and search for them from online stores.  An online retailer can sell the same products less expensively because they don’t have the additional overhead of paying for a mortgage or paying rent to use a facility.

TLF and Workout Gear at the Gym

Another excellent source for workout clothes is at your favorite gym. In many cases, you don’t have to be a member of a gym to visit their equipment stores.

The stores located in gyms are places that sell clothing for working out as well as gloves, belts and other gear to protect you during your workout. These stores can also be expensive, but again, you can try items on and then see if you can find a better price online.
