The tricep pushdown is a exercise machine exercise that primarily targets the triceps.

The only tricep pushdown equipment that you really need is the following: cable machine. There are however many different tricep pushdown variations that you can try out that may require different types of tricep pushdown equipment or maye even require no equipment at all.

    This is certainly one of those exercises that it seems like everyone does and yes, it's not really a big compound movement so some people will knock it and say that all you need to build your triceps are things like bench press, military press, close grip bench press, etc. but the tricep pushdown really is a phenomenal exercise for targeting the triceps (and with minimal elbow discomfort which is important for me because a lot of other triceps exercises cause me elbow pain).
