This Group is for athletes or active individuals looking to prevent ACL or other lower extremity injuries. By participating in this program you will engage in and learn a progressive, evidence-based training program used by Athletes Physiotherapy to train and maintain the health of our top athletes! Both male and female athletes can benefit from this program.
Kristopher is a doctor of physical therapy and certified athletic trainer who specializes in rehabilitation, sports performance, and injury prevention. Kristopher's goal is focused on bridging the worlds of high performance training and evidence-based rehabilitation programming for amateur & elite athlete with a particular niche focus in combat sports and military operators.
An estimated 200,000 ACL-related injuries occur annually in the United States, with approximately 95,000 ACL ruptures. Approximately 100,000 ACL reconstructions are performed each year. It is documented that females have a 4-8 times higher rate of ACL injury than their male counterparts. The BEST rehabilitation for any injury is, if possible, to prevent the injury from occurring in the first place! The program you will go through in this group is aimed at improving variables that can ultimately lessen your risk of injury, and is particularly important if you have already experienced a knee, ankle, or foot injury.
