As one of the top basketball-specific Performance Enhancement Coaches in the world, Paul Fabritz knows the secrets to great dribbling skills!

Watch the video below to learn Fabritz’s tips for dominating the dribble:

Here’s a recap of Fabritz’s tips:

  • The key is pounding – Although many people believe that the position of your fingertips or the way you flick your wrist is the key to perfect dribbling, the real key is a full triple extension, which is a solid pound.
  • Maintain good form – To achieve and maintain a solid pound, you need to develop proper form first. Start by pretending to shoot a basketball. Just as you release the imaginary ball, hold your position. Bring your shooting arm down to your side, while holding the post-shot position. The lowered post-shot position is the form that you will need to achieve a strong pound.
  • Use pounding to keep the ball in your control  As you dribble, if you pound the ball, it will return to your hand more quickly. Then the ball can stay in your control, not your opponent’s.
