Improve Your 1.5 mi Run 00A training plan to improve your 1.5 mi timed run. The 1.5 mi run is used in many police training academies that measures your endurance and cardiovasuclar fitness. An improved 1.5 mi will also improve your fitness abilities for your physical fitness test (ie PARE, POPAT, etc).
Each week builds upon the previous week's training. Every 4th week is a deload week, where volume is cut down, rest increases, but intensity is maintained.
At the end of the plan, perform your last 1.5 mi timed run and see how much you've improved.
