Hallelujah Diet

The Hallelujah Diet is a program developed around the use of raw, living foods with the idea that the human body was designed to digest such foods and use them for nourishment and disease prevention. Dieters may lose weight on this program, as it restricts sugary, fatty foods in favor of vegetables and fruit. The diet relies heavily on organic vegetable and fruit juices for beverages and barley, potatoes, legumes and whole grains for energy and fulfillment. This program is very low in overall calories. The Hallelujah Diet prohibits meat, many dairy products, sugar, fried foods, canned foods and most nuts. Some experts warn that certain nutrients, such as B vitamins, zinc, protein and calcium, may be insufficient in such a diet. The Hallelujah Diet will help dieters lose weight, but it is intended as an overall healthy lifestyle change.
