- Step 1: To play football you need at last 2 players and can play with up to 11 vs 11.
- Step 2: The quarterback starts with the ball or the center can hike the ball through his legs to the quarterback.
- Step 3: The quarterback is either going to hand the ball off to the running back, throw the ball to a wide receiver, or run the ball himself.
- Step 4: When throwing the ball the quarterback needs to step forward with his lead foot, throw the ball in a spiral motion, and make sure the defense does not intercept the ball.
- Step 5: The running back needs to stay low and explosive when running the ball, making sure not to fumble the football.
- Step 6: Wide receivers will pick a route to run before the ball is hiked to the quarterback and when the ball is hiked they will try to run out and catch the ball.
- Step 7: If playing with an offensive line the goal of the offensive line is to keep the defense from getting to the quarterback and to block for the running back. Blockers should have a wide stance, strong base, and be ready to slide laterally to block.
- Step 8: The defenses goal is to keep the offense from scoring or from getting a first down. You can line up as a defensive lineman, defensive back (guard a receiver), linebacker (play the middle of the field), or a safety (plays the last line of defense and helps on the receivers or the run).
- Step 9: Defensive players need to keep there head on a swivel and be ready to react quickly. If playing a tackle football game the defense needs to make sure that they wrap up the runner with both arms.
- Step 10: The goal of a football game is to get more touchdowns then the other team. You get 4 downs to try and go ten yards and get another set of 4 downs.
