  1. Flick your wrists and forearms when swinging jump rope around, not your whole arm.
  2. To find the appropriate rope length hold onto each handle and step on the rope with both feet together. Bring handles up to your armpits. If the handles are about armpit length then it is the correct rope length.
  3. Take short quick jumps (bunny hops). Later you can either increase the speed or jump higher to increase intensity.

Variations

  1. Jump forward as far as you can for each jump.
  2. Wear a weighted vest to increase intensity.
  3. Hop forward on one leg. Either alternate legs after each jump or complete an entire set on one leg and then switch to your other leg for the next set.
