Step-by-Step Guide: Display Text-Based Workouts on a TV

This article explains how to display text-based workouts on a TV using the Exercise.com for Business platform.

1. Open the Plans Section

Click the “Plans” tab in your Dashboard to begin managing your workout plans.

Open the Plans section in the Exercise.com Dashboard.

2. Access Plan Options

Click the options menu (such as the three-dot icon) next to the workout plan you want to use to open the Plan Options.

Access Plan Options for a workout plan.

3. Edit the Selected Plan

Click “Edit Plan” to modify the details and settings of your chosen workout plan.

Click Edit Plan to modify the selected workout plan.

4. Click on a Workout

Click the workout in the plan that you want to display on your TV to open it.

Select the workout you want to display on the TV.

5. Open Workout Display Options

Click the display or options icon for the workout to access the display settings for the selected workout.

Open display options for the selected workout.

6. Choose Text-Only Workout View

Click “Entire Workout (Text Only)” to display the workout in a text-based format suitable for TV viewing.

Select the Entire Workout (Text Only) display option.

7. Click “More” in Your Chrome Browser and Select “Cast”

In your Google Chrome browser, click the three-dot “More” menu in the top-right corner, then select “Cast” from the drop-down menu.

Use the Chrome More menu to select the Cast option.

8. Select Your Chromecast Device and Source

Choose your Chromecast device and select the source (such as the current browser tab) so the text-based workout displays on your TV.

Select your Chromecast device and source to cast the workout to your TV.

Connect with HDMI (Alternative Option)

To connect your computer or laptop to a TV via HDMI, follow the steps below:

  1. Locate the HDMI port available on your TV and on your computer or laptop.
  2. Make sure you have the right HDMI cable. Some computers have a standard HDMI port, while others may have a mini-HDMI port that requires an adapter.
  3. Connect one end of the cable to your computer or laptop and the other end to the HDMI port on your TV.
  4. Use your TV remote to switch to the correct HDMI source so your computer screen appears on the TV.

Now you can display text-based workouts on a TV using Chromecast or an HDMI connection. This makes it easy to guide groups through their workouts, keep everyone on the same page, and create a more professional training experience in your facility.
