With the Exercise.com Remote Door Access integration, you can securely connect Verkada to manage door access at your gym or studio.

1. Enable Door Management via API Under Access → Settings

Before connecting to Verkada, make sure your Verkada settings are ready for our integration.

Make sure you have “Enable Door Management via API” active under Access → Settings.

2. Enable Door Management via API Under Door Settings

Make sure “Enable Door Management via API” is enabled under the Door settings, too. This ensures your individual doors are configured to communicate with Exercise.com through the Verkada API.

3. Add a Webhook With the Access Control Scope

Go to Admin → API & Integrations → Webhooks:

Add a new Webhook with this info:

Name: any name is OK.
Webhook URL: https://www.exercise.com/webhooks/verkada
Shared Secret: exom-wh-verkada
Scopes: Access Control

This webhook allows Exercise.com to receive secure access control events from Verkada.

4. Go to “Connected Apps”

Once your Verkada settings are properly configured for the integration, you can proceed with connecting Verkada to your account. In the Account tab, select Connected Apps to connect Verkada.

5. Click “Connect Verkada”

Click “Connect Verkada” to link Verkada to the platform.

6. Enter Your API Key and Organization ID

Enter your API key and Organization ID in the text box and click on the “Save” link.

💡 Tip: Your Organization ID and API Key can be found in Verkada Command under Admin settings.

7. Select “All Products” to Locate the Organization ID and API Key

Login to Verkada Command to access the Organization ID and API Key. You can navigate to the “All Products” menu in the sidebar.

8. Select “Admin”

Select the Admin option to view the Org Settings page.

9. Select “API & Integrations” Then “API Keys”

Once you are in Org Settings, select the API & Integrations menu to access API Keys. Then select API Keys to view the Organization ID.

10. Copy the Organization ID

Copy the Organization ID needed to connect Verkada via Connected Apps.

11. Click “+ Add” to Generate an API Key

Click the “+ Add” button to generate an API Key.

12. Set Up Your API Key

When creating your API Key, make sure you have these three endpoints selected and the correct access:

Core Command – Read/Write

Access Control – Read/Write

Door Access Management – All

Set the expiration date several years in the future, then click the “Generate API” button. Once your API Key is generated, copy it and paste it when connecting to Verkada.

13. Click the “Save” Button

Click the “Save” button to successfully connect Verkada.

You’ve now connected Verkada to Exercise.com for secure, automated door access management. Your staff and clients can enjoy seamless check-ins using your integrated access control system.
