The new Geolocation feature in Kisi is designed for businesses that prioritize security and location-based access control.
To enable Kisi Geolocation, ensure that your Kisi integration is properly set up on the platform. This includes enabling the feature, connecting the app, setting up the access packages, and configuring the Kisi door.
From the Kisi Web dashboard, click “Doors” to access the settings and enable Geolocation.
Select and click a door to access and explore its security and user access configurations.
Once you’ve selected a door, click the “Permissions” tab to modify its configuration.
In the Permissions tab, toggle Geofence Restriction to enable Kisi Geolocation for the selected door. Then, click “Save” to apply changes.
Proceed to the “Advanced” settings to set your location.
Adjust the Latitude and Longtitude coordinates to accurately reflect the door’s location, ensuring that geofence settings function effectively and precisely. Then, click “Save” to apply changes.
To specifically enable Geolocation for a group, navigate to the “Groups” tab.
Select the group for which you want to enable Geolocation.

To allow clients to unlock doors from your app, your CSM can help you add Door Access to your menu.
When your clients open the door access menu, they will see the list of doors available, and can tap a door to unlock it.
If your client’s location is not within the defined geofence area, they won’t be able to unlock the door. A pop-up message will appear stating: “You are too far away.”

By mastering the Geolocation feature, users can significantly improve security through location-based access control. This feature not only helps ensure that only authorized personnel can unlock doors but also streamlines access management, leading to a safer and more efficient environment.
