How do I mention a user within a group discussion?
You can tag, or mention, another person by using the ‘@’ symbol and their username in the discussion box.
When mentioned, they’ll receive an email alert and see a notifcation the next time they open their app.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Open the discussion tab of your group.
Within your selected group, find the “Discussion” section!
2. Start typing with “@” + their username to mention someone.
In the discussion section, write a message and mention the person you want to notify by using @ + their username.
You will notice that many usernames appear for general names – be as specific as possible to find the correct person.
3. Press the enter key to post the message
Finally, press “Enter” on your keyboard to post the message to the discussion.
You can then see the message on the discussion board and a link to the person’s account that you mentioned.
