Within our Workout Software, your custom branded apps can support Vimeo videos in a streaming format to optimize playback for your customers.
If you are having problems with videos from your Vimeo account on your 2.0 apps, please make sure your Vimeo account and privacy settings match these requirements:
You need to connect to Vimeo w/ the account that owns the videos you want to use.
For “Privacy – Who can watch your videos?”, use the “Public” option which is basically the same as “no permissions”. You can also use the default settings for videos which is “Hide from Vimeo”.
For “Where can your videos be embedded?”, use the “Anywhere” option.

Open the uploaded video then select the Share button to access Link Privacy. Select “Public” in the available option. You can also select “Hide from Video” as an option.

Please refer to our support article for more info: Vimeo Video Privacy Requirements
If the connected Vimeo account does not own the videos that you want to play in the apps, there will be issues with video playback.
Vimeo requires a Pro, Business, Premium, Standard, Advanced, or Enterprise membership in order to support the streaming video format for 2.0 apps.
Per Vimeo, if you downgrade to Free or Starter or to Basic or Plus, any direct links you’ve shared or embedded will no longer work (for example, your embedded video will no longer load). If you upgrade or re-upgrade to Standard or Pro or higher, your links will automatically reactivate.
Please review the Vimeo’s requirements in their support article: Direct links to video files (Vimeo Support)
If you have confirmed that your setup meets the above requirements and you are still having trouble with video playback, please contact our support team so we can help you out: [email protected].
