Update Macros Goals Zapier Action

With Exercise.com’s fitness business management software, you can automate workflows by integrating with Zapier. This guide shows you how to incorporate user macros into the Update User action so that nutrition goals update automatically for your clients.

1. Configure the Spreadsheet

Set up the spreadsheet that will store client macros. In this example, you’ll use Google Sheets.

2. Create a New Spreadsheet

Create a new blank spreadsheet or select an existing one you want to use.

3. Prepare the Spreadsheet

Add the variables needed to update a client: Client ID and the required macros.

4. Log Into Zapier

Log into your Zapier account to start creating automations.

5. Create a New Zap

Click Create to make a new Zap.

6. Select Zaps

Select Zaps from your dashboard.

7. Choose the Trigger Event

Choose the event that will start the Zap.

8. Select the Spreadsheet App

Select your spreadsheet app. This example uses Google Sheets.

9. Set the Trigger

Choose the trigger event: New or Updated Spreadsheet Row.

10. Connect Your Exercise.com Account

Select your Exercise.com account if prompted, then click Continue.

11. Choose the Spreadsheet

Select the spreadsheet you prepared earlier.

12. Choose the Worksheet

Select the worksheet that contains your data.

13. Select the Trigger Column

Pick the column Zapier should watch for changes. Selecting the first variable is often simplest.

14. Continue

Click Continue to proceed.

15. Test the Trigger

Click Test Trigger so Zapier can pull in sample data.

16. Choose a Sample Row

Select the row you want to use for testing, then click Continue with the selected record.

17. Select Exercise.com (Version 3.1.0)

Add an Action step and choose Exercise.com (Version 3.1.0).

19. Connect Your Exercise.com Account

Select your Exercise.com account to authenticate the action step.

20. Continue

Click Continue to map your fields.

21. Map the Fields

Map the spreadsheet columns (Client ID and macro fields) to the matching fields in the Exercise.com action. Click Continue when done.

22. Test and Publish the Zap

Send a test to confirm the update works as expected. If everything looks good, click Publish.

23. Open Clients in Exercise.com

In the Exercise.com platform, go to Clients and search for the client you updated.

24. Open the Nutrition Tab

From the client profile, click the Nutrition tab.

25. Verify Nutrition Goals

Confirm that the Nutrition Goals section shows the correct data from your Zap.
