How do I add a credit card to a client’s account?

With Exercise.com Payments, you can securely store client cards on file to streamline billing, memberships, and packages. This guide shows how to add a credit card to a client’s account.

1. Navigate to the Accounts Section.

Click “Accounts” to open client account management and update payment info.

Open the Accounts section.

2. Select the Client.

Choose the specific client whose card you want to add.

Select the client profile.

3. Click “Payment Details.”

Open “Payment Details” to view the client’s current payment information.

4. Open the “Payment Methods” Tab.

Select “Payment Methods” to see all saved options for the client.

Open the Payment Methods tab.

5. Click “Add Payment Method.”

Start the process of adding a new credit card.

Click Add Payment Method.

6. Choose “Manual Entry.”

Select “Manual Entry” to type in the card details instead of swiping.

Choose Manual Entry.

7. Enter Card Details and Click “Submit.”

Complete the required fields (card number, expiration, CVC, billing info) and click “Submit.”

8. Confirm the Card Was Added.

Verify the new card appears in the list. Set it as the default if needed.

9. (Optional) Add Another Payment Method.

Click “Add Payment Method” again to add an additional card or payment option.

10. Use “Swipe Card” If You Have a Reader.

Select “Swipe Card” to capture card info using a compatible card reader.

Choose Swipe Card for card reader input.

11. Choose a Reader and Simulate Swipe (If Applicable).

Click “Simulated Reader” to test the swipe flow if you’re using a demo environment.

Select a reader or use Simulated Reader.

12. Verify the Swipe Card Was Added.

Confirm the swiped card appears in Payment Methods.

You’ve added a client credit card to their account. Now you can process payments faster, reduce failed charges, and keep memberships and packages running smoothly.
