Toned arms are coveted by many, particularly because many celebrities show off their arms. Arm toning exercises can be helpful to build strength and definition in your arms.
Hold Yourself Up
Sit on the floor with your palms flat on the floor next to your hips. Keep your elbows straight. Push down on your hands and raise your body a few inches off the floor. Hold for five seconds, release slowly to the ground and repeat three to five times.
This exercise requires light dumbbells. If you don’t have weights, use filled water bottles or soup cans. Hold your arms straight down at your sides, palms pointing towards your body. Now, slowly raise one arm, turning your palm as you do so until your hand is facing outward. Raise your arm to shoulder level, hold for a few seconds and then slowly lower your arm. Repeat with the other, three to five times on each side.
This exercise tones arms, back, and chest muscles. Sit on a flat surface, with both hands holding a light weight over your head. Your arms should be straight. Now, slowly bend your elbows and bring the weight behind your head. Hold for a few seconds, then return to the starting point and repeat three to five times.
You will need a resistance band for this exercise. Stand on one end of the band and grasp the other end with both hands. Bend your elbows and slowly bring the band up as far as you can. Hold this position for a few seconds, then lower your arms and repeat the procedure three to five times.
